CHICAGO — The lineup resembled that of exhibition game, and so, too, did the effort from the Wild for prolonged stretches. After leaving Kirill Kaprizov, Mats Zuccarello, Jared Spurgeon and Jonas Brodin at home to avoid potential injury, the Wild lacked urgency against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night at the United Center. In the end, though, the Wild did just enough to earn a 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. That keeps their slim hopes of winning the Central Division alive at least for a few more days.On a night that former Gophers captain Brock Faber made his NHL debut, and top prospect Marco Rossi made his highly anticipated NHL return, the Wild at times looked like they had very little interest playing in an NHL game.Ultimately that didn’t hurt against a group like the Blackhawks that has been aggressively tanking since the trade deadline. It looked like it might be an easy night for the Wild in the early stages as Matt Boldy scored midway throughout the first period ...1 person rescued from Albany house fire

The incident was also caught on video. It happened on Jan. 13, at the Lily Pad Learning Center Candle Light Lane in Hazelwood, where state investigators with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education documented caregiver Katrina M. King “forcing food in a child’s mouth.” The record says a 15-month-old appeared to be “crying or choking” on the video and that she “vomited onto a table,” all while a second caregiver reportedly “looks over” and “…observed Kat forcing food in (the child’s) mouth.”The state inspection report also says the second caregiver was nearby on a carpet looking at her phone and that, “(She) does look towards (the child) but does not interact with her.” Male bald eagle goes from babysitting rock to an eaglet at World Bird Sanctuary The St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office charged Kin...“Easter Miracle” for Lake St. Louis officer critically injured by suspected drunk driver

WENTZVILLE, Mo. - As the State of Missouri sits on record budget surpluses, a top priority for the governor seems to have stalled: widening Interstate 70 from St. Louis to Kansas City.Anyone driving westbound on I-70 out of the St. Louis area may be perplexed as to why the interstate narrows from four lanes to three to two in St. Charles County, despite the fact that traffic remains heavy.“For those who we say we can't afford it (I-70 expansion), I say we can't afford not to,” Governor Mike Parson said in his State of the State speech nearly three months ago.
