DENVER (KDVR) — Animal management officers are warning Arvada residents to keep an eye out for wild coyotes.The city of Arvada's Animal Management Unit said there has been an increase in coyote sightings near the Majestic View Nature Center.Officers said that while wild coyotes are unlikely to attack humans, it is important to protect pets and small children. 67-year-old woman gored by mule deer buck outside her front door Wild coyotes are more active in the early morning hours and around dusk. Restoration efforts continued on the South Shore Tuesday, one day after the region was hit hard by Monday’s major storm. Ramping up overnight into Monday morning, powerful wind gusts sent debris flying, knocking down trees and leaving nearly all residents in Scituate in the dark. As of around 12 p.m. Tuesday, 92% of Scituate energy customers were still without power, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Sixty-seven percent of customers in Norwell were impacted, while more than 50% of customers in Hanson, Pembroke and Duxbury were in the dark. National Grid said it brought in crews from New York and Canada. Crews were then visible around town Tuesday making repairs.
