A stormwater flood at Suncor Energy’s refinery in Commerce City last week leaked benzene into the Burlington Ditch where it flows through the Denver’s wastewater treatment plant property, but state health officials say pollution levels did not threaten human health or drinking water.Low levels of benzene were found in water samples taken by Suncor, according to a Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment news release. Suncor’s samples reported benzene levels at 0.18 micrograms per liter, and the permitted level for benzene is 5 micrograms per liter. The Water Quality Control Division sent a stormwater permit inspector to test the water and confirm Suncor’s self-reported findings.“The current flooding at the facility seems not to have caused a public health risk, but we will continue to monitor the situation and update everyone accordingly,” Trisha Oeth, CDPHE’s director of environmental health and protection, said in the news relea...QB Matt Ryan joins CBS as analyst, says he’s not retiring as player

Landlords must give tenants in federally-subsidized housing 30 days’ notice before eviction, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled Monday, extending a pandemic-era protection for tenants. The justices found that the longer 30-day notice requirement — passed by Congress in 2020 as an emergency measure in response to the COVID-19 pandemic — applies indefinitely and trumps Colorado’s 10-day notice requirement for evictions in housing that is supported by federal subsidies. In a unanimous decision with one justice not participating, the court found that while the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act, known as the CARES Act, declared its moratorium on evictions would end after 120 days, it did not set a date for the 30-day advance notice requirement to end, and so the requirement is still in effect.“We cannot insert an expiration date where Congress omitted one,” Justice Melissa Hart wrote in the 10-page opinion. “…Rather, we must pres...Mormon church whistleblower discusses alleged misuse of tithing funds

The remaining $1 billion goes to the investment firm, Ensign Peak. The interviewer, Sharyn Alfonsi, said some estimates place that fund as high as $150 billion, however, B...How to Take Charge of Your Life With James Radford
