Broncos defense two-deep: Vance Joseph returns to lead unit that more than held its own in 2022 Back in Denver after spending the four years in Arizona, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has intriguing pieces to work with in 2023. Cornerback Pat Surtain II and safety Justin Simmons are two of the best at their respective positions. Denver’s outside linebackers can be disruptive, but that will depend in large part on Randy Gregory staying healthy. The Broncos brought back inside linebacker Alex Singleton while drafting Drew Sanders, who turned heads during camp. If the Broncos can match last year’s performance, this could be a salty group. Here’s a look at the projected two-deep roster:Defensive endZach Allen | 996-4, 281, 25, 5th season, Boston CollegeAllen joined the Broncos to fill the void left behind by Dre’Mont Jones, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Allen played under Joseph for four years in Arizona, where he totaled 9 ½ sacks and 95 tackles over his last two seasons.Elijah Garcia | 956-5, 302, 25, 2nd Season, Rice Garcia played in the final tw...
