It takes work, excellent execution and plenty of luck to carve a niche in an established genre. For every “League of Legends” that blows up into a video game powerhouse, there’s a “Dawngate” that never quite gets off the ground. With “Exoprimal,” Capcom is hoping to attract fans that enjoy games such as “Overwatch,” but don’t exactly love the hypercompetitive aspects. It’s for players who enjoy teamwork and collaboration, but who don’t want to do it in a head-to-head situation, where teammates scream at each other or bicker over perceived slights and disagreements.BRING THE FLOOD OF DINOSCapcom solves this with dinosaurs. Lots and lots of dinosaurs. The developer throws so many terrible lizards at players they seem like a roiling, churning tide of teeth and fangs. Thankfully, players aren’t fighting these creatures with regular machine guns and conventional weapons. They don powerful exosuits that make them...Residents at a loss as coal town loses its newspaper

By Leah Willingham | Associated PressWELCH, W.Va. — Months after Missy Nester ended The Welch News’ 100-year run, she can barely stand to walk through the office doors of the newspaper her mother taught her to read with growing up in West Virginia’s southern coalfields. It’s still too painful. The Welch News owner and publisher’s desk is covered with unpaid bills and her own paychecks — a year’s worth — she never cashed. By Katelyn Polantz and Shawna Mizelle | CNNRudy Giuliani concedes he made defamatory statements about Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss in an effort to resolve their lawsuit against him and to satisfy a judge who has considered sanctioning him.The late-night Tuesday filing from Giuliani says he doesn’t contest Moss and Freeman’s accusations that he smeared them after the 2020 election. Yet the filing says he still wants to be able to argue that his statements about voter fraud in Georgia in the 2020 election were protected speech. Notably, he also refuses to concede that his statements caused damages to Moss or Freeman. The new filing doesn’t immediately resolve the case against Giuliani, which had taken a thorny turn for the former prosecutor and New York City mayor after a judge cautioned him earlier this month that he could lose the lawsuit or face severe sanctions for not gathering his own records in a thorough way and turning them over to Moss and Freeman’s te...Family raises funds after man killed in Jack in the Box drive thru in Santa Rosa

It was not immediately clear if any of the Nigerien troops involved were trained or mentored by the United States, but the U.S. has trained members of Niger’s presidential guard in recent years, according to Pentagon and State Department documents.U.S.-trained officers have been involved in at least six coups in neighboring Burkina Faso and Mali since 2012. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — On the night before his first training camp workout as the Green Bay Packers’ starting quarterback, Jordan Love received some advice from his four-time MVP predecessor.Love said Wednesday that New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers texted him the previous evening. When the Packers traded Rodgers to the Jets the week of the draft, it cleared the way for Love to take over as Green Bay’s first-team quarterback.“He said just be yourself, have fun, enjoy it,” Love said. “It’s obviously my time now, and he just said be yourself. And I mean, that’s all you can do.”Love backed up Rodgers the last three seasons, just as Rodgers earned Green Bay’s starting spot in 2008 after spending three years as Hall of Famer Brett Favre’s backup.Although Love has made only one career start, he believes his three years of experience make him much more prepared than if he’d received this assignment as a rookie.“He definitely has complete command of our offense,” Packers coach M...Houston Astros reinstate Alvarez and Altuve from injured list ahead of finale against Rangers
