WASHINGTON (WDVM) -- Police said Thursday that Christopher Haynes, a man accused of murder who escaped custody at George Washington University Hospital in September, was in custody.In a news conference Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Marshals said that Haynes was taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. in Oxon Hill, Maryland, more than six weeks after he first escaped. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana officially unveiled its newest family room Wednesday morning. The 4,000-square-foot facility has private sleeping rooms and a communal kitchen. The family room is located adjacent to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Children's Hematology-Oncology Infusion Center. State Route 5 and State Route 30A, also known as East Main Street, will be closed from west of the Bridge Street intersection to Broadway on October 28. Denver police are searching for a man suspected of first-degree murder in a shooting at the now-closed Regis Motel on East Colfax Avenue in September.Officers responded to a fatal shooting at the motel at 8282 E.
